Frequently asked questions
What is pan de pascua?
Chile's Christmas cake. Pascua is the Chilean word for Christmas, and despite the name it is a dense, dark, spiced cake rather than a bread, flavored with honey and filled with candied fruit or nuts. Chileans slice it thin and eat it with coffee or tea all through December.
Candied Fruit or Nuts and Almonds?
Both come in a 24.69 oz (700 g) loaf. Candied Fruit is the classic, full of colorful fruit pieces. Nuts and Almonds swaps the fruit for crunch, and it is the one for anyone who picks the candied fruit out.
When should I order for Christmas?
Early. Last season more of our pan de pascua orders came in November than in December, and by the week before Christmas orders had nearly stopped. Ordering in November gives it plenty of time to arrive.
How fast do orders ship?
Orders placed before 12 PM ET Monday to Friday usually ship the same day from our Davie, Florida warehouse. Standard delivery is 3 to 5 business days, with Express and Overnight available at checkout.
