Frequently asked questions
What is manjar?
Chile's slow-cooked milk caramel — what other countries call dulce de leche. It goes on bread and sopaipillas, fills alfajores and cuchuflí, and is the backbone of Chilean home baking.
What is the difference between El Manjar and Manjar Colun?
Nestlé El Manjar is the everyday spreading manjar. Manjar Colun is thicker, which is why bakers reach for it when filling cuchuflí and alfajores. There is also a sugar-free Colun.
What can I make with it?
Fill your own cuchuflí with our shells and filling kit, spread it on marraqueta or sopaipillas, layer it into alfajores, or eat it by the spoonful the way most Chileans actually do.
